Hi Rosemarie,
You didn't say which version of IE you are using, those instructions are for
IE6 if I remember correctly.
In addition to what you have already done,
use this setting in internet options, on the advanced tab.
Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode-OFF
When you get to the advanced tab, this one is next to the bottom the list.
If it is on, just spacebar to turn it off, and then close IE.
I haven't checked IE 7 or 8, so can't advise you on that one yet.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Subject: [Blind-Computing] turning off the security prompt in
internetexplorer

Hi, everyone,

I just read the tips and tricks page on the jaws users site and followed the
instructions for turning off the security prompting you get on some sites
and it didn't work. I went on the Safeway.com site and I still got the
prompt saying "this site has both secure and non secure information. Do you
want to continue" or something like that. Is there another way to turn off
this feature? I don't want it popping up each time I sign in to a site to do
some shopping.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Rosemarie
