Sorry it has taken me so long to respond on this topic. I have been having health and technical problems.
To be more exact, I have written down instructions for creating a bootable version of Vinux 2.1 as a Live DVD or USB Pen Drive (also called a Flash drive or memory stick; I wish there was a standard term) that has Image for Linux installed. The instructions can be viewed or downloaded from the following web page: http://mysite.verizon.net/marangs/Vinux-IFL.html The technical problem I ran into is that my laptop has not been able to boot from a DVD or USB Pen Drive with speech or any other sound ever since I upgraded to Windows 7 and VMware Player 3.0. I have no idea yet why any software upgrade could possibly effect the hardware when booting into another Operating System. All of the ISO files I had previously created and which worked as well as downloading Live CD or DVD ISO images no longer make a sound. All of these images work within a Virtual Machine. As soon as I feel better, I will attempt to figure this out. I apologize that these instructions have not been verified! If you feel somewhat comfortable with these type of operations, please give these instructions a try. They are not perfect yet, but some of the brave might want to tinker. Please provide any feedback or corrections so they can be improved and easier for everyone to follow.
