hello all who answered my queries re outlook
however none mentioned the amount of times i can switch from one to the
other as default
i also have a problem with o e
every so often when using f5 i get a message hidden
other times i get the message tasks completed successfully
and on others i get errors
i normally get the 1st and 3rd message after using Google to send email and
the email remains in my outbox
any idea why i get the 1st and 3rd message and why from time to time
messages reside in my outbox and on others they go with no problem
thank you
Yvonne

If all you are interested in is Email there is not much point in moving to
Outlook. However Outlook has many other functions including crucially an
accessible calendar, which with some tweaking, is excellent. It also had a
journal, as you say contacts and Tasks management features.
It also has a notes function. Outlook is designed to work with active
sync
which enables you to synchronise content with mobile devices. I used to
use
this with a Pocket Hal enabled PDA to transfer notes into my PC version of
Outlook but to be honest did not find it that smooth and there were
frequent
problems with connection and synching. As Outlook is such a leading
standard
application I imagine that most mobile devices will have a synchronisation
feature set up to work with Outlook but somebody else should probably
advise
you on this.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] outlook and outlook express
hello members
i am informed not only on here but on other lists and by word of mouth
that
Microsoft outlook is much better than outlook express
how much can i read in to that
at the moment i am using o e but would not mind trying out m s outlook
i believe that ms outlook has things o e doesn't
and that i can use my mobile to update things unlike on o e
also there are no contacts list on o e, or is there?
i looked on m s outlook briefly and it did not contain all the items i
have
heard about
perhaps it needs configuring.
anyway the question i pose is this
how many times can i change from one to the other?
i am using o e but may want to try ms outlook
but what if i don't get on with it and i want to go back to o e?
i know this can be done by selecting whether to use as default
but how many times can i chop and change
is there a limit like once on each or is the choice unlimited
and is there a manual i can listen to in audio
thank you
yvonne
