Subject: [Blind-Computing] Blind Friendly GPS Software?

Hi
I was wondering if there is blind friendly GPS software? It seems to me that one should be able to buy a GPS DONGLE and use some type of software to locate ones position, calculate routs, and find points of interest. I know one can do this with cell phone software. However, I was hoping to find some less then the $890 U.S. that is the lowest cost option I can find so far.
    Thank you.

God bless,
Mark
