No Deb, absolutely not. What is happening is that the Excel program needs a patch to read that particular file. It happens all of the time, especially when the two versions differ in one way or another.
No problem.  It will have no effect at all on the rest of your software.

I'm running XP Pro, Service Pack 3. Just recently received a CD containing our family tree. I can't repeat the message verbatim, but hope I get close
enough.  This document was created in Excel -- either VISTA or 2007, not
sure.  Excel asks me if it wants me to update it so it can read the
document. This would also update all my other packages, such as Word 2003.
I'm using JAWS 11, latest build.  If I updated would this cause problems
with JAWS or any other system problems?  If you need further information,
please request it of me.
