Use the steps below to change the width of your subject field. The steps
will also work with other fields.
1. While in Outlook Express press the alt + V keystroke for the view menu.
2. Arrow down to " Columns " and press enter or just press the letter " C
".
did that but when i pressed enter it went pear shape
however i did find it could be done without pressing enter when i get to
columns
3. Arrow down to " Subject " and with " Subject " highlighted press the
keystroke alt + W. You will get a message stating how many pixels wide
your
subject line is currently set for. Back space this number out and type
400
or 425. I currently have mine set at 430. This will widen your subject
line so more text will fit.
i actually needed to put it back to the default setting but do not know
default setting
i did however discover that a couple or so of the others were set to 155 so
i set it to 155
After you type in your desired number of
pixels tab to okay and press enter. Also, you can press the alt + W
keystroke with any of these columns when they are highlighted to widen
them.
These steps are for Outlook Express only. I don't know if they will work
with other Email Clients.
it appears to of worked so far
i was getting part of a body text along with what was in the subject box
after i altered it
but so far i have not noticed this
hopefully sometime i may change to microsoft outlook
if no one else has the answer i will try it when i change over

the other day i asked how to adjust a field box that i had widened
i want to put it back to it's original size but don't remember how to do
it
at the time i think i said it was the b c c field when it should be the
subject box
