Yes; the outgoing port is 465 and incoming depends; in POP 995 and now I 
found out 993 in IMAP. I use POP so that has worked fine both in OE and now 
Windows Live Mail that's very similar.

I think you have to change the port settings in outlook express for
gmail to work.
I forgot what the settings are but maybe someone else on this list might
know.
