I have version 4 and it just updates silently without announcements; you can figure out that it was updated by checking its number in the systray; when it gets higher logically it was updated, and you can see the date as well. I know already in version 2.7 or so it was possible to set so that it would update silently so I keep it that way; why would one need to be disturbed by the announcements anyway? Martina

At least for me, I hadn't heard any update announcements of any kind with the version of NOD32 that came with ESET Smart Security 4. Granted, I've had it now for a short period of time, but I'm surprised I hadn't heard any update announcements as I did with an earlier version of NOD32. I'm beginning to think it no longer states when it's updated. -----Original Message----- On Behalf Of matthew It will just announce nod32 virus database has been successfully updated to the version and then the number. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Carliss" <[email protected]> > Listers, > > I've just downloaded and installed Nod32.
