Sounds like the statement that you are attempting to read Is just a scanned image of the paper document, rather than a PDF document that also contains the text. You will need to print it to a virtual printer to a program like OpenBook or save the PDF file to your hard disk and use another OCR program like Omnipage. I would notify the bank and let them know that the PDF files they are posting are not accessible.

Hello listers,
I am trying to read my bank statements with adobe reader 9.2. How ever when I press enter on the statement I want to read, it says error the file can not be found or some thing similar. I am using windows XP pro service pack 3 and jaws 9. Can some one please help?
