Miss paris:
Using keystrokes to perform what you are wanting to accomplish can be done
simply by using window concepts and controls.
Lets take the opening a document first, which I presume, you would like to
open up a blank document?
As you are on the active desktop, use your first letter navigation to get to
the Microsoft word ICON, so press M. Once you land on Microsoft word, you
can press enter to open it.
You can type what you desire and once you are complete and are ready
to save, navigate to your file menu or office button (if using office 2007)
by pressing alt-f and arrow down until you hear save and once you land on
save, press enter and enter in the file name. Upon doing this, you can press
enter to have it saved or tab until you hear the save button option. Please
keep in mind if you do not type in a file name, it will save the first line
as the title for your document.
If you would like to print, again I refer you to the file menue/office
buttonalt-f . Down arrow until you hear print. Now press enter and you will
be in the print dialog and here you can determine how many copies you'd like
and a variety of other options are available in this property sheet so just
tab through the options and once you have made your printing preferences,
tab until you hear ok , press your space bar to activate it and you should
be printing!

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Keyboard Commands for Windows Vista

Hi to you all,

I have an HP computer with Windows Vista and Jaws 10. I do not know the
keyboard commands for opening, saving, and printing documents. I am not an
expert in using computers but I want to learn how to operate them well. I
hope that some of you are using Windows vista and will be able to help me.
Any help will be very much appreciated. I hope to hear from some of you
soon. Thanks very much.

Cordially,
Rosario Perez
