For the record, I'm using a Sound Blaster 5 USB sound card and an HP 550 notebook computer. When I used the e-mail program or sometimes, even document software like word, my Jaws chokes up and doesn't pronounce the complete word or doesn't say anything at all. here's what I have tried so far.
1. When I use the computer on its internal sound card, it seems to work fine. 2. I tried changing the USB to make sure that it was linked to a 2.0 port but that made no difference at all. What could be causing my sound card to choke like that? When I use the Say All command, that doesn't happen. It occurs only when I'm typing in data. Is there some kind of Jaws setting I should change?
