Hello: For what it is worth, my wife has encountered a similar sounding problem with Publisher 2007. In her case she has problems with opening Publisher 2007 files after Microsoft has applied some of their automatic updates. The way she has had to get past this problem is to apply some sort of Microsoft "hot fix". Your problem may be of the same type. I did not have a signifigant role in fixing her problem, but I do seem to recall that uninstalling and re-installing did nothing to solve the problem. I also seem to recall that my wife seems to have her problem on a regular basis. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.
