That was one of those questions in the back of my head and I could've
googled it but didn't.
The person who sent the email at 3 in the morning lives in Washington state
such as I, so I don't think the time zone is an issue, at least with this
case.

First, the only dumb question is the unasked one.  To answer yours though,
yes, that persona really sent that message at 3:30 in the morning.  Keep in
mind however, that different time zones can affect what time it is.  I
believe it is your time, not the senders that is being refferred to.  I
could be wrong about that last part, but I think that's how it goes.

When I read a message and it says sent at 3:36 A.M did the person really
send the email at 3:36 in the morning?
