Use 7-zip instead: http://www.7-zip.org/ 7-zip is open source and very JAWS friendly. -----Original Message----- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Carliss Sent: 9. mai 2010 14:51 To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: [Blind-Computing] Problem using Winzip. Listers, I am having a real problem with the newest Winzip program. I had an old version (9), however, some how I must have gotten rid of it. So I downloaded the newest version to unzip my nLS books and it's not to user friendly, is it? Well, if some one would tell me how may I obtain a copy of an older version of Winzip, or how to get the latest version14.5, to work with unzipping NLS books? I would really be a happy camper. It appears that having the winzip program available helps the download of the NLS books to move along faster when using the open choice instead of the save when downloading the books. I say this, because when the winzip application isn't available it takes longer for the book to download, and I can't use the open option.
