It's definitely microsoft, cause when I click on it,
it shows me a list of things it thinks it wants to update, such as net framework and such.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Marilyn Walker

 Subject: [Blind-Computing] My system tray

: As one of the items on my system tray, I have:
: "updates are ready for your computer"
: I went to the microslop site, and my machine is current as far as that's
 concerned.
: How can I get rid of that annoying system tray item??
 : This started last night.
 : Thanks in advance.
