Just possible that escape key might undo selection, but not necessarily.

Although don't use firefox much, it might be best in jaws to in fact hit numpad + key to just make sure that virtual cursor is active and that forms mode has been turned off, etc.

Is it also just ok to press escape to close a drop down list?

Also, when using firefox, even if I have closed a Combo box, it is stucked there that when I press the down or up arrow keys, it changes my original selection. I have to press the escape key again to make sure that I have exited the combo box. It is just misleading sometimes Any way to solve this?. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jacob Kruger" <[email protected]>

Alt + down arrow will open them, and when you then find the item you want, alt + up arrow will close them, and this a workaround in case they then trigger some or other javascript activity, otherwise it would take place as you just arrowed down within them, so it's safer, and this also sometimes works better in normal, not web based drop down boxes, in normal dialogue boxes.

Hi All:

I would like to know if we navigate combo boxes by pressing only the
down arrow key or Alt + down arrow keys after entering into forms
mode.

I would also like to know the appropriate reasons for different kinds
of behavior.

Or does it vary even with the versions of Jaws?

Thanks and regards,
Silpa.
