Store A Laptop Battery:
For prolonged storage, charge your battery to about 40% and place it in
the refrigerator (not the freezer). Be sure to allow it to warm up to
room temperature before use in order to avoid condensation; otherwise
moisture on the battery might get into your notebook. If you have a
spare battery, use one normally and store the other in the refrigerator
until it's needed.
