I do not think so. Although I am interested in COBRA, I have not tried it
yet. I have experienced this problem a lot. It has been happening while I
use either JAWS 11 or JAWS 10! It started immediately after installing the
latest JAWS 11 update. Freedom Scientific must have made a change to the
Share Components for JAWS 10 to be affected as well. I have reported this
to FS. It happens only occasionally just opening a new window. However, it
happens every time in a few circumstances. It seems to be a focus problem.
Someone determined that the focus moves to the title bar, which would match
the awkward way to return to the place you were. This behavior happens
every time that I use Tab browsing. For instance, I like to review RSS
feeds by pressing the 2 key to read the headlines and then press Control +
Enter on a headline I am interested in. It then opens that article in a new
Tab in the background, then I can continue on through the rest of the
headlines. This focus issue makes it difficult to move on because the focus
is screwed up every time! I also get this focus issue every time a JAWS
script I wrote which ends up opening a browser window logging in to the site
and perform a search. The script still works but when completed, the focus
is lost. This last scenario will not effect most people because they are
not using my scripts.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Question relating to what I think might be partof
cobra
Since/around the time I installed the demo version of the cobra screen
reader, when I now open a link from an email, or a web page in a new
window using, for example, shift + enter in the webpage, I now seem to
have to alt + tab back to the original source, and then alt + tab to the
new one to get it focused on, and once or twice I have found, using either
NVDA, or jaws 11, that there seems to be a window called something like
AudioData getting/taking focus for a very short time period, but this
isn't around for very long as such, and since I see that, for example,
cobra had added a part of itsself to the startup list in the configuration
manager, I was wondering if anyone else had experienced something similar
since although unchecked that part of cobra from startup, this minor
irritation is still happening, and around the only other change have made
is installing a newer version of the gomplayer multimedia player software,
but, for example, I disabled the toolbar it had added to internet
explorer, for example, and don't think that would really have had that
same effect, since guessing this is something like cobra trying to somehow
populate it's version of a virtual buffer or something although I find
this while it's not even actively running...?
Anyway, like said, was just wondering if anyone else had noticed something
like this, since it really seems to have occured from around when I
installed cobra.
Stay well
