Hi,
I have one tutorial on Firefox which I once prepared for my friend last
year, but since the server trims such stuff in Word format, I would send
you off list if you contact me with your email details. Meanwhile, since
Firefox is Free/libra Open Source software, I recommend you go here:

for a good tutorial.

Hi, everyone,

I would like to find a good tutorial on firefox since I'll be using it
with NVDA. I don't think National Braille Press has tutorials on firefox.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

When reading some pages, I use shift + enter to open link in a new window,
so can read the resulting page, close it and carry on browsing original page
from same place - using same browser window and then back doesn't always
work perfectly depending on content etc.

Will have to try things like reinstalling browser, service packs etc.

Stay well

Ok, did also install latest jaws 11 update in last week or so, so could

I do not think so. Although I am interested in COBRA, I have not tried it
yet. I have experienced this problem a lot. It has been happening while I

use either JAWS 11 or JAWS 10! It started immediately after installing the

latest JAWS 11 update. Freedom Scientific must have made a change to the
Share Components for JAWS 10 to be affected as well. I have reported this
to FS. It happens only occasionally just opening a new window. However,
it happens every time in a few circumstances. It seems to be a focus
problem. Someone determined that the focus moves to the title bar, which
would match the awkward way to return to the place you were. This behavior

happens every time that I use Tab browsing. For instance, I like to review

RSS feeds by pressing the 2 key to read the headlines and then press
Control + Enter on a headline I am interested in. It then opens that
article in a new Tab in the background, then I can continue on through the
rest of the headlines. This focus issue makes it difficult to move on
because the focus is screwed up every time! I also get this focus issue
every time a JAWS script I wrote which ends up opening a browser window
logging in to the site and perform a search. The script still works but
when completed, the focus is lost. This last scenario will not effect most

people because they are not using my scripts.

I extensively use Shift + Enter to open a link in a new window, where the
link is on a somewhat different topic than what I am currently researching.
I also use Control + Shift + Enter to open a link in a new Tab in the
foreground. As stated before the back key does not always return to the
correct position. This also allows me to follow other links in this Tab
without needing to remember how many times I should press the back key to be
where I started. I probably use Control + Tab the most. This opens a Tab
in the background that I am interested in, but let me continue on without
distraction (At least when JAWS worked correctly). Taking smart advantage
of Tab browsing and multiple browser windows can certainly help you browse
smarter and help you organize your research. Just remember, each window
requires additional memory and somewhat more memory for each Tab opened. I
also have to remember to go back to finish looking at all windows and Tabs
if I am multi-tasking with something else.
