[Blind-Computing] windows and win amp

I have both windows media player and winamp on my computer and I want win amp 
to be the main player how do I keep windows media player from coming up  I did 
see the choices in window media player  as to what files you wanted to play and 
thought I unchecked them but it still is the main player I am using xp home 
jaws 11 and media player 11.
