What no one has mentioned so far is the fact you need to remove the
Thunderbird settings by doing the following:
1. Press Windows+r to open the run dialogue box.
2. Type %appdata% exactly as shown and press enter.
3. Down arrow to the Thunderbird folder and delete it.
4. The next time you reinstall it will be as if you never used
Thunderbird before.
