Go to your tools menu, alt t, then to options. Control tab to, receipts tab.

Hello all, In Outlook 2003 if I go into Properties of a new message I
can select a check box that will request a receipt when the recipient
reads the message. Is there a means of setting this as the defalt for
newly composed messages
