Chris. That's bologna as far as I know.
I am using Crystal 16 in my laptop and she works just fine with everything.
I bought that voice and Mike 16 as a package with Text Aloud. Now you might
have an issue if your system is 64 byt like mine. Some of those voices just
won't function in a 64 byt environment.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Text Allowed and best way to purchase voices

Hi. I've been reading up on Text Allowed at www.nextup.com. On their Web
site, I listened to some of the samples of voices to pick from. The only
thing is it said that if I purchase any voices from them, such as the AT&T
Natural voices and Acapela voices, then they would only work with their
products. I'm not digging that idea at all.

So, if instead I was to purchase these voices directly from the
manufacturer, such as AT&T natural voices, would they still work with Text
Allowed just as well, if at all?

Maybe it's cheaper to buy from Text Allowed or something... not sure. I'm
trying to not spend a lot of money here, but at the same time I want to get
the most bang for my buck.

Basically, what I want to do is get Text Allowed and purchase about 2 or 3
voices is all. But I'd like to be able to use the voices outside of Text
Allowed if I choose to.

I'd appreciate your thoughts. Never been down this particular road before
and it's all new to me. Thanks.
