Yes, I also have the external usb fan and it works great, but is not
quite practical for carrying aaound because it can't fit in the laptop bag.

Hi Milos,
I am using a small Toshiba ultra portable. When I have to use it for an
extended period of time, I notice that it does get warm. I don't worry
about
this until I hear the fans constantly running.
At Staples and many other places they have a small laptop desk that sits
on
your lap. It has bean bags under it that allow it to comfortably sit on
your
lap. These are somewhat weighted which helps my laptop not move around to
much as I am typing. There are vents on the top of this unit which allow
my
laptop to breathe.
Mine also has fans in it that cool my laptop. It uses a USB cable to plug
in
to my laptop for power. I don't use these fans when I am on the move, only
at home when I am plugged in to home power because I have noticed that it
does put a slight drain on the battery.
Take care,
Russ

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Laptop environment
Hi all,
Recently there was a message warning us that of the consequences of
overheating the laptop having it on the bed. As I knew it and it was not
something new for me, I still want to ask some similar questions.
Can laptop be dammaged if in the constant moving while active? For
example, in a car that passes many high curves.
Next, if I have to use my laptop outside and I have to expose it on the
sun as in a certain moment it is not possible to protect it, what parts of
the laptop are most resistible to the sun? So if I have to expose it, how
to
do that with minimal risk?
Thanks to all, and best regards!
