From your subject line, it looks like you're using Internet Download
Manager. If that is the case, simply go to the IDM interface, click on Downloads -> Options and on the General tab, tab to "Capture all downloads from" and make sure that Mozilla Firefox is checked on. After this setting, press CTRL+Tab to go to the "File types" page and tab to "Automatically download the following file types": here you will see an edit field where you can simply type 001 002 etc and any other file type you wish IDM should capture. This helps in cases where you do not want certain types of documents to be downloaded but to be opened in your browser for reading. After making sure that you've entered all the file types, tab to OK and restart your browser.

Hope this helps,

Ishe

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Intenet download manager problem

  Hi all,
I am not sure what to do. A friend sent to me a 7z archive on sendspace that is devided in a few parts, so the files end in 001, 002, etc. When I want to download them, the firefox's default download manager opens. I tried in options to make it work by writing ther 001, 00* 7z, 7z*, but nothing helps!
  So please, what to do?
  Thanks, and best regards!
