I wish I had the cash to upgrade to a higher version of Jaws but
unfortunately I don't. I could use NVDA which I don't mind doing.

You need JAWS 8 or higher to work with IE 7, so JAWS 5 would not likely
work

Would Jaws 5.0 work well with IE 7? I'm just asking because Jaws 5.0 is
the highest upgrade I was able to get. It came as a free upgrade when I
got Jaws 4.51.
