Usually if you see it displaying this message, it means OE had problems in
establishing connection with your mail server. This may be due to network
problems or some settings in your OE.
From the sound of it, your modem may be shaky and this affects packet data
sent or received by Outlook express.
The message "Online Error" on your status bar simply means that your online
status is on, but there is an error in connection.
Suggestions:
First when the message comes up "There were some errors " etc) then don't
quickly hit on Hide button. Instead, press the tab key and you would come to
two page tabs one is "errors" and the other one is "Tasks".
You can use your left or right arrow keys to move from one page tab to the
other. So arrow to "Errors" and press the tab key once and you would come to
the info box. Here you will read the detailed problem such as OE failing to
access your POP account.
or check your USB modem connection. Consider connecting your modem via a USB
data cable instead of directly connecting it to your PC.
Cheers,
Ishe
