My understanding is that you'll have to use iTunes to get your music on the
iPhone.
Install iTunes and import your mp3's into the library.
Connect the iPhone to the computer and from within iTunes select to sync
music to the phone.

I don't own a iPhone my self and I don't use iTunes but this is what I've
picked up.
It's probably a good idea to join the iPhone google group.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] transfering MP3's to I-Phone

Hello everyone,

My wife and I own many CD's, and I have ripped them to my computer as MP3's.
How do we get them onto her I-Phone? I believe it's an I-Phone 2 or 3. We
just can't figure out how she can have them on the little robot she carries.

Thanks,

Ken
