Hello Yvonne;
I wrote these steps sometime ago, helping someone on another list.
you may find these steps helpful.
Steps for uploading to Send Space.
ok, for those who would like instructions to upload a file to sendspace,I
have re-wrote the steps, I believe these will be more helpful to users.
now, I'm assuming that you've already zipped the file which you want to
upload to sendspace.
I'm also going to assume, the zipped-file, is found in "my documents
folder".
step 1. go to: www.sendspace.com
step 2. when the page loads, for jaws/windows-eyes users, press the
ctrl-key, to stop screen reader from reading.
step 3. jaws/window-eyes users, assuming your at the top of the page,
press the letter F, this should take you to;
Select file* (up to 300MB):
Browse ...
you need to be on the edit field, and for jaws users, press enter to bring
up forms-mode, unless your using jaws10. window eyes users, press enter on
the edit field, you should hear; "browse mode off".
step 4. now we're ready to find the zipped file which we created.
step 5. now, lets assume, you don't no the path of the file your looking
for, you could, enter on the browse-button, once you do this, you start
using the tab-key,
you will first hear, file name edit, you can tab until you hear, "look in
combo box", if my documents is selected, then, you can tab until you hear,
"folder list-view".
if "my documents", is not highlighted, you could up/down arrow, until you
hear "my documents", then again, tab to the folder list view.
step 6. your now looking for the xxx.zipped file you created, you can
down-arrow until the file is highlighted, or, you could letter navigate.
assuming you found the file, xxx.zip,
you tab once, you should hear the file name, now, continue to tab until
you hear "open-button" press enter.
step 7. ok, your now going to se such things as;
Description (optional):
Recipient's email (optional):
Your email (optional):
I have read and agree to the terms of service.
you can fill in these edit fields if you would like, and you need to make
sure, the,
I have read and agree to the terms of service check box is checked.
what happens is, once you press the upload-file-button, the file will
begin to upload.
note, please do not close the page, otherwise, the transfer will be
aborted.
note, once the upload is complete,
another window will come up, notifying you, the upload is done, and you
should see a link to your file. also, a link should be sent to your e-mail
address.
you may want to take note of the link, which is on the web-page, just in
case, you don't receive the e-mail.
now, you can send this link, to your friends/family, and they can download
the file from this link to their computer.
I hope these instructions are helpful.
