I think that I can straighten this out a little. Jaws Professional will
work on any Windows 7 version.
I believe that there's a really limited version called Windows 7 Home but
I've never worked with it.
The more popular versions are below.
Windows 7 Home Premium,
Windows 7 Professional,
Windows 7 Ultimate:
There's another step between Professional and Ultimate but I can't
remember
what it's called.
Those higher functioning versions run a lot of money. Steve was right
though. You can get an upgrade package which will take you from Windows
XP
to Windows 7 Home Premium. The price may vary depending on your
particular
locale and on promotional considerations.
If you can afford it, Windows 7 Ultimate is an amazing piece of software.
I'm using Professional, myself.

you can get an upgrade that will not coss that much. i think around 120
dollars. if you are using jaws home, then you need windows 7 home. if you
are using jaws pro, then the other windows 7 is what you need. sorry i do
not know what windows 7 for jaws pro is call.

I have been using Windows XP for a while and now that I have heard a lot
about Windows 7 and what it can do, I want to purchase a full version of
the program to update my computer. However, I have heard that there are
several versions to choose from such as Home Premium, etc. I want a
version that won't cost a figure which will cause me to apply to the bank
for a loan to be paid off in three years.
I understand that there are many experts on what Windows 7 does and I
hope you can give me advice on what I can buy. Will $200 be enough to
purchase my copy of Windows 7? And from where, directly from Microsoft
or Amazon.
One more thing. How do I keep my programs that I use now so that they
can work after the Windows 7 has been installed.
