Hi Alan;
The updates Rick & Don are talking about are updates that are downloaded
onto the computer but, not yet installed. The updates you are speaking of
are updates that are installed. If you don't want these to show in your
Add
or Remove Programs list do the following.
1. Open the control panel and press enter on add or remove programs. You
will have a little bit for the list to populate, or in lamen's terms, for
all the crap to show up! LOL
2. Once the list is populated arrow down and when you have an entry /
program highlighted, tab until you come a dialogue that says " Show
Updates
." If this box is checked, press the spacebar to uncheck it. Now the
updates won't show up in the list. Not having the updates show makes it a
lot easier to find entries in this list. A lot less arrowing.

I am still using XP-Home, so this might not be in context with your last
message however here it is.
My Windows updates appear in my list of programs which I can see when I go
to my Control Panel and the "Add / Remove Programs".
Is there any benefit of having these in this list, and will that "hide"
make
them not visible in that list?
Has there ever been any times an "Update" was discovered not to be good
for
we JAWS users and then is that a good reason to leave them in that list
to
see so that we might uninstall them?
