Thanks so much for bringing this up! I too have gotten a repeated notice
that said that my Avast! Antivirus subscription was ready to expire by
November 18! For quite some time now, I've been on the hunt for a free
antivirus program that was JAWS user-friendly. I've tried a
fully-licensed version of both Mcafee and Norton and hated it with a
passion because of its tendency to hog system resources and the complex
layout of the program window (which was not user-friendly with JAWS at
all); put bluntly, I
felt fantastically stupid for investing so much money in those programs!
I've also tried AVG Fee Antivirus 9, but ran into problems when trying to
find the latest version of the free version of the program! I'm getting
very weary of searching for an antivirus program big-time, so I'm so glad
that this discussion had started! Can someone please provide the link to
the page where I could download the antivirus program that's being
discussed? Thank you!
