The situation is a bit crazier than I realized.
When I receive a new message, it ends up somewhere in the middle, forcing me
to hunt for it.

Hi Cliff;
Do the following;
1. Press Alt + V, for the view menu while in any OE folder with out any
messages open.
2. Arrow down to the sort by option & press enter.
3. Arrow down to the ascending option & press enter to check this.
Pressing
enter will also take you out of the menus.
Your descending option is probably checked and that is why you're getting
the new messages at the top. Hope this helps. Take care.

Somehow, my message receiving protocol has reversed itself. My new
messages now come in at the top of the page. Previously, they appeared at
the bottom.
I prefer the previous arrangement, new messages at the bottom, and would
like to reset that presentation. How do I do this?
