If you want to check or uncheck something in the sort by submenu, just
press
enter on it. Each time you press enter on an option in here, pressing
enter
will take you out of the menues. So, Press Alt + V, for the view menu,
arrow down to the sort by submenu, & press enter. Arrow down the list to
make sure that received & ascending are both checked. If 1 or both are
not
checked press enter to check it. Then if you have to check the other open
the view menu again, press enter on sort by, & arrow to the other and
press
enter to check it also. Now, that you have both received & ascending
checked you should receive your messages with the oldest at the top and
the
newest at the botttom of the list. Hope this gets you squared away. Take

I was able to reverse the message recipiency, as directed.
Somehow, I checked the "Sort by From" option, as well.
How do I cancel that check?
