In Windows XP, classic start menu, it is in the context menu as, delete.

Which OS are you running? This choice is one of the options on the
Context menu in Windows XP, but I don't know about Vista or Win 7.

Focus on the Start menu item you want to delete, launch the Context menu
and arrow down to Remove From this List. Hit Enter and the Item will be
deleted.
