Thanks for the help; it's the weirdest thing, I just got back from work and booted the beast and entering on the links seems to work fine; I think it is haunted.

   hi ,
If your using internet explorer eight that bleep sound is when the down load file is being blocked for security reasons .
and all you have to do is press alt n that is the letter N like in Nancy.
that will take you to the top of the page where you will land on the security note and all yu have to do is press your space bar and some options will appear select down load and press enter and if another security dialogue appears it may or may not depending on what brouser you are using but if it does tab to run and press enter and the file you are trying to down load will continue.
hope this helps anna

Subject: [Blind-Computing] entering on the download link;

When I hit enter on the download link to download a file from sendspace my
computer makes a bleep sound and nothing happens; however, if I hit the
context key and choose open, the link works fine; could someone tell me
what
is going on? as of a few days ago I could just enter on the link and it
worked fine; now I have to use the context key to open it. thanks,

Dan
