hello john and Gerald
thank you for your replies
Gerald's one has just reminded me that in a cupboard i have a large bottle
of isopropyl alcohol that i got in a chemist shop
i had to order it and pick it up at a later date as it is not sold over the
counter where i was living
i presume this is the stuff also known as rubbing alcohol
and i have used this on other devices
and of course to clean cassette recorder and video recorder play and record
heads
when i was sighted so i presume it is still safe to use this that i have in
the cupboard
thank you
Yvonne

You can buy rubbing alcohol, also called isopropyl alcohol in any drug
store or pharmacy.

Even though it is alcohol based, it has other ingredients in it, which
may harm your computer. I always wipe off any client computer keyboard
before I work on it, using rubbing alcohol and I have never had a
problem.

No!
If you want to give the keyboard a good cleaning, Turn off the
computer, slightly dampen a clean soft cloth with some rubbing alcohol
and wipe off the keyboard. That will do a very good job of cleaning
and disinfecting the keyboard.

hello
i have a bottle of sanitizer
this is the same stuff hospitals use when surgeons wash their hands
after examining you
before i go ahead and do this i ask this question
can this be used on keyboards and other devices?
i don't want to use this and find it to be a costly error
the best stuff that there ever was was tricoetholene
alas this for many years has been a discontinued item
so i ask can sanitizer be used as a substitute for tricoethelene?
thank you
Yvonne
