Hi, Jackie,

When I try to go on the safeway.com accessibility site using web IE, it takes me to

www.asp.com

and gives me a bunch of search results. What other info can I give you? It looks like I'll have to get sighted help to solve this problem. I even had to let my friend know I couldn't play the video of a song she sent to me. I'll just wait for the web IE team to write back and see what they say.

Well, the older version of jaws & the now unsupported sp2 operating
system r problematic. U didn't tell which version of webIE u run, nor
did u say to which site u had been redirected. Those are important.

Hi, Jackie,

I did write to the web IE support team. I'll see what they say about this
problem.

As for my operating system, I'm using windows XP home eddition with SP 2.
As my screen reader, I'm using Jaws 5.10. I have 512 megs of ram. I have
the latest version of web IE. As for my antivirus program, I'm using AVG
8. (not sure of the exact version). I'll see what the web IE team says and

get back to you on that.

What site(s) r u being redirected to? That's really important to know.
Also, do u type in the url or click a link?

I look at so many--did u ever comply w/my request to send me a
highjackthis log? I don't see any under your name, so I'm thinkin not.
U did, I believe, tell me that u could go to these sites using just
Internet Explorer.

U should also include information such as the program version(s)
you're running, e.g., version of WebIE, Internet Explorer, etc., your
operating system, including service pack number, any adaptive
technology u use, hard drive capacity (used & free, if possible), &
amount of ram. In this case, u should also include any security
solutions, such as firewalls, antivirus, etc.

This may seem like a lot, but the problem is, those trying to give
support simply don't know your configuration, & those details can be
extremely important. As I like to tell folks, I failed telepathy 101
*miserably! All of these things & more can potentially be causative of
a problem such as this. Redirects always raise concerns for malware,
but, because WebIE is such a specialized program, it could be that
it's redirecting because it cannot deal w/the inaccessible content. U
should also consider contacting the WebIE support team, as they're the
ones who know their software best & may ultimately be the best
equipped to help u w/this.

Happy thanksgiving to all in the USA, &, if not,, remember everyday's
a good day for giving thanks!

Hi, Nimer,

I tried to do a couple of things. For one thing, I tried to go to my
grocery
store site and I was taken to search results instead of the site I
wanted to
go to. A friend of mine just sent me a youtube video and the same thing
happened. I wasn't able to play the video. Those are the problems I'm
having.

Hello,

I wasn't following this thread, but can you please explain to me what
kinds of problems are you having with Webbie?

Thanks

Hi, everyone,

I've done everything from clearing my history to deleting cookies and temporary internet files and this still hasn't solved the problem with
Web IE. What do I do now? Is there a site where I can go to write to
the
developers of web IE? As far as I know, I don't have any viruses or
any
kind of malware.

Thank you for any help or suggestions you could give.

Rosemarie
