hello Francis
i believe this is also known as capture
if i am correct it asks you to type in what you see above.
to a blind person this is almost impossible
i say almost because one browser allows the ability to use capture
this however is firefox and not jaws
i do wish this could be removed and not used
some say it is for security though if you can see what to type in and then
type it in then where is the security?
anyway as far as i view things it is to prevent blind people having a luxury
i know to some people's way of thinking this is a grudge about sight loss
but to me it is not
capture should not be used
and as for the audio side of capture well don't go there
it is awful
dead loud music going right over the spoken information
thus preventing it from being heard and ending in the same result as for the
sighted version a blind person being denied.
if i am wrong on this i am sure someone will correct me
Yvonne

Subject: [Blind-Computing] A vexing problem trying to get information
There are times when I want to get information from the Internet and find
that I am asked to type a series of numbers in order to get what I want.
There are occasions when I can get sighted help but when there is none, I
have to try again later.
Is there a way now to get around this vexing problem? Any advice would be
welcome.
Francis Khan
