Thanks for the correction. I was thinking of a different voice configuration. I have not played with too many different voices yet in NVDA.

Hi Don.
The last statement is incorrect. One only needs to select SAPI5 in NVDA's synthesizer dialogue box. RealSpeak will then work with NVDA.
Take care.

One of the Real Speak Solo Direct voices is called Jill. There is no
copyright or trademark to a Proper name. So, there might also be a
Microsoft boice with the same name as far as I know. Before Freedom
Scientific developed the Solo Direct voices, which are more responsive
with JAWS, they were distributed as Real Speak SAPI5 voices. Freedom
Scientific does not make these available on the website due to licensing
issues (they do not want to give them away for free) They did send out a
separate CD along with the JAWS Program CD which would install these
SAPI5 voices with one or more versions of JAWS. I think it must have
been JAWS 9 or 10, which was just before they developed the Solo Direct
voices.

You will need to find this CD, if you have them, install them in the
normal location. Then you will need to copy them to the "magic" NVDA
voices folder. Sorry, I do not know the details.

Hi.
The Jill voice is probably part of RealSpeak Solo Direct. This can
only be used by JAWS and other Freedom Scientific products.
Take care.

I'm using Windows 7 32 bit and Jaws 11 and I'm wondering how to make
NVDA capable of using the Jill voice? I assume I have to move the
.exe file somewhere in the NVDA folder, but have no idea exactly what
needs to be done.

Thanks for any help.

Also, while I'm at it, where do I find something like Add/Rvmove
programs in Windows 7?
