Oh, wow, Chris ! I'll certainly give this a go.

I might be back with more questions, if you don't mind.

Thanks much.

Hi.
1. Open the Virtual Buffer Settings dialogue box with nvda+ctrl+b.
2. Tab to the "use screen layout when supported" check box.
3. Press space to uncheck the box.
4. Press enter.
5. Save the configuration with nvda+ctrl+c.
This will improve your web experience by providing the familiar linear structure that other screen readers present by default.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Chris, I would love to use NVDA only, but I find that when on the net,
for instance, it doesn't tell me what certain buttons are and there are
other things it doesn't report.

What settings would make the program give me more information Whatever
help you can give me would give me would be appreciated.

Hi all.
I have switched to NVDA full time now. My JAWS license is only for
Standard which means I can't use JAWS beyond its 40 minute mode in
Windows 7 Professional. In fact, I refuse to install JAWS onto this
installation. NVDA is much more stable and rarely if at all crashes. I
would love you all to switch but I know it is just not possible. I
understand. Proprietary applications, preferences, etc. I am however
confident NVDA now and in the future will fit most home and even
business users.
Take care.
