Hi, David,
I did varify windows with the internet option and then did the updates. I
did uncheck the box so I wouldn't be asked to install internet explorer 8.
Thanks very much for your help.

Hello Rosemarie;
now that you have service pack3 installed;
you will need to validate your copy of windows.
you can do this through the system tray.
just enter on the you have 30 day to activate.
you then will have choice to do the activation on the internet.
once you have completed this.
you will need to get all the updates there should be quite a few.
note, however,
you will need to uncheck the box for IE8,
since your using jaws5.exe.
hope this helps.

Hi, Mike,
Do I just click on that in the system tray? There's a button that says
"thirty days to activate windows". or something like that.

Hi David & Rosemarie;
I am almost positive that it is only wanting you to re-verify your
current
windows program. Take care.

It doesn't mean update to windows 7 at all. Off hand I forget but it
might
simply mean to verify your copy of windows.

I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I'll probably screw that
one
up
too.

Hi, Chris,
I'm glad I decided to take everybody's advice and install service pack
3.
Now I'm getting this dialog that says something like "thirty days to
activate windows". I'm hoping this doesn't mean upgrading to windows 7.
