MSE checks for updates at least once a day. It does this without any
intervention through Windows Update. I have Windows Update set to alert me
only when there are system updates. It still retrieves the definitions
automatically. If you really need to see when it last checked for updates,
you will need to go to the Updates page and poke around with the JAWS
Cursor.

Hello all,
I've read a lot of posts by folks that are using MSE. Most seem to really
love it. I've seen however some posts that have confused me a little.
Does the Anti-virus update automatically or do you have to go to the site
every once in a while to update it?
If so, how often does MS update there Virus lists?
