Not sure what version of office you use, but try ctrl+1 to get to the format sels dialogue. You need the number tab and to choose "numbers" from the list of formats. In the next field you tell excel how many decimal places you want after the decimal point. I'm looking in office 2003 here, but think it's simular in the upper versions.

Whenever I do an Excel spreadsheet calculation that involves decimals, the calculation is carried out to four or five decimal places.

For the work that I'm, presently into, two places will fill the bill nicely.

How do I advise Excel that I want only two (2) decimal places, for the while?
