Rick, Its set at 32 bit highest. I'll check on the display adapter issue. I don't believe I'm having an issue with Jaws not speaking correctly at this resolution setting, unless its not reading something it ought and I just don't know, but its been like this for years. I was curious why the higher resolution stops Jaws from talking. Maybe I ought set it as such, reboot and have a set of eyeballs at the ready to return it back if needed 'smile'. Honestly I'll be working on a new computer within the next six months so this old XP machine will likely be history in the relative near future and an eventual moot point.

You can go to Freedom Scientific's website, and look at there service bulletins concerning display, and see if your type of display adapter is mentioned. The screen resolution you are using almost sounds like you are running in compatibility mode for Win98. Are your colors set to 256, or highest 32-bit?
