I thank all of you who contacted me regarding my query.
Quite by accident, I stumbled on a way to accomplish the task using Word
Seven.
I put the words in a list, one below the other then pressed the Alt key
followed by the letters H S O.
I was then presented with a dialog box where I could determine whether the
list would be in ascending or descending order.
Thanks to all who wrote with their suggestions and thanks for this wonderful
list.
