Could you be thinking about announcements of cursor shapes? That will say
something like "app launch" and "pointer" or my favorite, "unknown", which
normally happens when there is a hand pointer.

A few versions of Jaws ago I had an audible indicator warning me that a
program was still loading or the program was searching.
Did I imagine it?
If not where is it on Jaws 12?
