I checked to make sure my document is maximized and it was. I was able to
center a line in another document, but not in the one I wanted or in a new
document. I found zoom in the view menu and it should now be set to 75%.

Any thoughts for fixing the centering problem would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Centering Line of Text-Word 2007 & JAWS

Hi All,

I'm trying to center a line of text in a Word 2007 document using JAWS 10 on my
XP Home with SP3 machine and JAWS seems to be claiming that it is still aligned
left.

I thought either pressing Control E and then typing the text I want centered
and Control L to go back to aligned left or selecting already typed text and
Control E and Control L to go back to aligned left was the way centering a line
was supposed to work and I could swear it did when I first started with Word
2007. JAWS is not saying anything at all when I press Control E or Control L
and I thought it used to say centered and aligned left.

JAWS key (Insert) plus says the text is aligned left and alt delete says the
text is something like an inch and a fraction from the left margin which
doesn't sound right.

The status line seems to say 100% and I don't know if that might be part of my
problem since I thought it was supposed to be 75%.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Margaret
