In the task manager - windows key + R, and type in taskmgr and hit enter, on the second page, which is the processes page, you'll find a whole lot of processes running, but if you know the executable name of an application, and can find it there, there are columns for CPU usage, memory usage etc., but you'll most likely need to use something like the jaws cursor to read all columns, and you can also click on column headers to sort the items according to those values, and a second click would generally reverse the sort order - as in most/least at the top/bottom.

Alternatively, if using jaws you could also virtualise the window using jaws key + alt + W if you're already on the executable name you're looking for, and then find it again in the virtual on screen display, etc.

Stay well

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Finding out how a program is a processing hog

Hi All:

Over the years I have heard this program or that program is a processor hog. My question is how do you find out how much of a processor hog a program is
or how much RAM a program is using? All information will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks much, take care.
Mike
