Some USB devices draw power from the USB connection. Consider the total
power draw from all of the devices. Drawing too much power can cause
problems with your computer.
There are unpowered USB Hubs that are convenient for low power devices
like keyboards. There are also powered USB Hubs with their own power
adapter to relieve the strain from your computer. For external drives,
printers and large scanners, a powered hub is recommended.

There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real
substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working
on things that matter.

You can purchase a USB hub with 7 ports. That should take care of

Subject: [Blind-Computing] USB Hubs
I am using Jaws 12 and Windows XP at work.
I have for different USB connections constantly, and occasionally I
have to unplug and attach another.
I looked on Amazon at hubs and got a headache.
What should I be looking for?
I am plugging in two printers, a second keyboard, a harddrive backup
and so on.
